A Check Engine Code of P0304 means that there was a misfire, specificially for Cylinder #4. You should check your spark plugs and spark plug wires and probably replace them, especially if have a Straight 4 Cylinder engine (very easy) or if Cylinder 4 is easily accessible. You should also check your catalytic converter to ensure its working properly and check your coils as well. You should also make sure that you wires are in the correct order as well.

2001 toyota corolla Code PO304. Intermittent misfire of cylinder 4. Changed spark plugs, coil, fuel injector, and performed a compression test. All cylinders 210.

Light came on about 2 weeks ago. Car has no problem starting. Has a rough idle but seems to smooth out when driving.

replaced plugs,wires cap, rotor,upgraded spider injection to multiport injection ,replaced #4 plug twice always has black spot on center insulator check spark to #4 cylinder with test light when running it's getting spark keep getting po304 code after code is cleared out. engine malfuction light comes on when I leave it idle to long
